The Beginning

While awaiting the end of 2011, I decided to dump Facebook and strike out on my own.  Most of my postings are political, so this seems more appropriate.

One of the titles I considered was Blue State, Red Witch, but it seemed too clunky and not at all clever.  But I have a book called The Word Museum, by Jeffrey Kacirk, and it's full of neat words that aren't used any more... like noctuary, which is an account of what happens at night, the converse of diary, which is the account of the day's doings.  Since I do most of my posting at night, it seemed to fit.

So, here we go.
